Condicote has an amazing history that dates back thousands of
years.
The Henge is an example of Condicote's "pre-history",
believed to date from the time of Stonehenge.

Archaeology
There have been a number of archaeological investigations in
this area, which contains several scheduled monuments and other
sites. Of these, two studies of the Henge are of particular note
and were carried out by the Bristol & Gloucestershire
Archaeological Society. Please visit

Summary of the 1991 census

Transcriptions of the Census returns for Condicote
by Gordon Beavington are available on the
AllTheCotswolds website by Allan Taylor. Details of the 1881
census were sadly lost in a fire, we believe.
